6th Post of February – Snow

6/02/12

Over the weekend in Britain and where I am; London, real cold weathers and snow hit. I think this photo sums it up to be honest, so I don’t think we need to hear me harping on about the weather. I think most of us hear it enough by other people pointing out the obvious or weather people telling us their predictions, and mostly getting it wrong and having no idea what they are talking about.

So I’ll leave it with this pure magic photo

Sliding Rocks of Racetrack Playa

The Sliding Rocks of Racetrack Playa

Unknown as to why or even how, these rocks move along the lake bed which is almost completely dry and relatively flat, some even weigh up to several hundred pounds.

Nobody has ever seen them move, yet may have come up with ideas as to how it might be happening. Can you guess why?

First Post Of February

01/02/12

Well today was meant to be the first day of my One Photograph and One Paragraph challenge – as today is the first day of February! However I completely forget; bad I know :P suppose in my defence – doesn’t time just fly faster and faster these days? I literally cant believe its February already!

Moving on from my bad memory, I thought I’ll share this quote! I think specially today and in the past few weeks this is the one things I have learnt considerably and I am sure others have too.

“I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.”

But sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering and doubting. Have faith that things will work out, maybe not how you planned but just how it’s meant to be.

ALSO

isn’t this slightly disturbing art?! is it art? one could ask!

Well I think excellent concept I suppose its making a point to find beauty in decay however unfortunately I don’t think this is art. Its a photo, showing simple documentation, I personally think it takes more to make this tragedy art.

Exotic

Wouldn’t you just love to hang out here! Clearly it isn’t that cold by what people are wearing and acting; looks pretty amazing!

A Little Reflection

A little reflection will show us that every belief, even the simplest and most fundamental, goes beyond experience when regarded as a guide to our actions, and everyone and everything that shows up in our life is a reflection of something that is happening inside of us.

What I Would Do Here

Stunning, magnificent and peaceful!

Just want to snuggle inside and read a book.

Kit Boyd

Kit Boyd – Artist

Kit’s work follows in the British romantic tradition and has a strong affinity with the neo-romantic artists of the 1940′s his landscapes being womb-like refuges where often a lone figure finds solace.

Check out his work it’s rather different!

www.kitboyd.com

He uses Pen and ink on card to create these pictures.

“St Ives image” St Ives is my personal favourite place in England. This is one of  the reasons why because such art and artists come out of the place and it is just beautiful arty place.

“Man on a laptop” images in the landscapes section are the expression of this coexistence of the new world with the pastoral and ancient. (Man on laptop is underneath the main big tree, find him?)
